IAPO staff provide advisory services in farm management. This includes financial management, livestock production, field crop production, family succession planning and marketing.

Farm financial management includes recordkeeping, cashflow projections, farm analysis and farm business planning. IAPO staff complete year-end workbooks with clients and follow up with a farm analysis report. Interested farmers are encouraged to contact IAPO staff.

Livestock production covers herd health, breeding, selection, feeding, marketing, quality assurance, livestock handling and housing.

Field crop production includes crop selection, soil preparation, seed selection, weed and disease control, harvesting and marketing.

Farm family succession planning ensures the farm business is passed to the next generation in a manner that maintains a sustainable operation.

Farm meetings, workshops, on farm demonstrations, tours, newsletters and one on one discussions are used by staff to promote improved farm management.

Farmers are encouraged to contact staff to discuss their plans.
